My client is a well-established civil engineering business based in Trafford Park delivering infrastructure and groundworks projects across the North West. The business undertakes a range of works including highways, utilities, drainage, and general civil engineering schemes, with project values typically ranging from 100k to 5 million. Due to continued growth, the company is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple live projects across the region.
The Role
The Contracts Manager will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of 5-6 projects simultaneously, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with site teams, commercial staff, and senior management to coordinate resources and drive project performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage 5-6 civil engineering sites across the North West.
- Oversee projects ranging from 100k to 5m in value.
- Ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and safely.
- Provide leadership and support to Site Managers and site teams.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving issues where necessary.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Work closely with the commercial team to monitor project costs and variations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
