We’re on the lookout for a Painter and Decorator to join the believe housing team on a six-month fixed term basis.

Although this role is advertised as full-time, we will consider part-time, job share and alternative working pattern proposals where possible.

Where and when you work is flexible depending on the demands of your role, our customers’ needs and your individual work preference (as agreed with your manager).

Our offices are based in Seaham and Bishop Auckland and although we work flexibly, it is envisaged that this role will require both an offsite and onsite presence as per business need when required.

About the role

Working as part of the Voids service, you will carry out painting, decorating and associated preparation works within domestic properties. You will help ensure homes are completed to the required lettable standard, supporting void turnaround performance and contributing to a positive customer experience.

The successful candidate will:

  • Carry out internal painting and decorating works within void properties
  • prepare surfaces, making good minor defects and ensuring a high-quality finish
  • work safely and efficiently in line with agreed standards, timescales and health and safety requirements
  • support the wider Voids team to complete properties ready for re-let
  • provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times
