During your apprenticeship, you’ll gain practical experience and develop skills in:

  • Following health and safety requirements (including correct PPE use) and maintaining a safe working area
  • Interpreting drawings and specifications, measuring and setting out work accurately, and estimating quantities of materials
  • Preparing backgrounds and materials (including safe moving/handling and correct mixing to ratio) ready for plastering or rendering
  • Applying plastering finishes to walls and ceilings (e.g., floating, setting/finishing coats and render systems), protecting surrounding areas and finished work
