About the role
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager, based in our London office, to join Believ's B2B Operations team.
The Programme Manager will take full ownership of assigned EV charging projects frominitialhandover by the Commercial team, overseeing the pre-construction, construction, commissioningand final completion.
This roleis responsible forcoordinating all project workstreams, ensuring sites progress efficiently while meeting agreed technical, commercial, programmeand quality requirements.
Reporting to the Head of B2B Operations, you will act as the main point of coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
You will work closely with clients, landlords, contractorsand Believ'sinternal teams, including commercial, property, technical, design, procurement, financeand Networks.
You willbe responsible foridentifyingand resolving risks, maintainingprojectprogrammesand ensuring that all required approvals, designs, surveys, legalagreementsand procurement activities are completed at theappropriate stage.
Roles and responsibilities
- End-to-End
- Project
Ownership: Take responsibility for assigned projects frominception, overseeing the feasibility, design, planning, approvals, construction, commissioningand final completion.
- Project Planning and
Coordination: Develop, maintainand manage detailed project programmes, ensuring key milestones, dependencies and critical activities are clearlyidentifiedand delivered.
- Feasibility and
- Site
Development: Coordinate the assessment of project viability, ensuring technical, commercial, regulatory, legaland operational requirements are understood and addressed.
- Design
Coordination: Work with internal and external technical and design teams to ensure project designs meet client requirements, Believstandards, operationalneedsand agreed budgets.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, providing clear updates and coordinating decisions, approvalsand actions.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identifyproject risks, constraintsand blockers at an early stage, maintainingclear mitigation plans and escalating issues whererequired.
- Cost and
- Budget
Management: Monitor project expenditure, forecastsand commitments, ensuring costsremainwithin approvedbudgetsand any potential variations areidentifiedand managed.
- Planning and Approvals: Coordinate planning applications, landlord approvals, DNO or IDNO requirements, legal agreements, permits and other statutory or third-party approvals.
- Procurement and Contractor Management: Develop scopes of work, support contractorselectionand procurement, and manage contractor performance throughout the project.
- Construction
Delivery: Take full responsibility for managing the construction phase, coordinating contractors, resolving site issues, maintainingprogrammeprogress, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Quality and
Compliance: Ensure projects are deliveredin accordance with Believstandards, contractual requirements, health and safety obligations, planningconditionsand applicable technical regulations.
- Commissioning and
Completion: Coordinate commissioning, snagging, documentationand final project close-out, ensuring all required information is completed and handed over to the relevant operational teams.
About you
- A self-starting, highly driven project manager with proven experience in delivering multiple projects concurrently, ideally in the Pre-Constructionphase
- Possessing akeeneye fordetail, beinghighlyorganisedandhavingexcellent communication skills are essential attributes
- Excellent planning andprogrammemanagement skills
- Proficient and effective risk management skills toensure proactive actionis taken to keepthe Pre-Constructionphase ofprojects on track
- Experience ofworking within Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructureishighly desirable
- Aconstruction managementor engineering / technicalbackgroundwould be beneficial
- Aformal Project Management qualificationisdesirablebut not essential
