We’re a Charge Point Operator (CPO) on a mission to create the UK’s most reliable electric vehicle charging network that doesn’t cost the earth and leaves no one behind. We work closely with local authorities and businesses to deliver reliable, high quality charging networks at pace, at scale and at zero cost. You’ll be joining this exciting journey at the start of our scale‑up phase, and work with us to hit the ambitious targets our shareholders have set. You’ll become part of a passionate and supportive team in a fast‑paced, dynamic and result‑driven environment.

About The Role

At Believ, we are building a culture that attracts and retains the best talent. We are a dedicated and high‑performing team, accustomed to working at pace in an ever‑evolving industry, and we are looking for people who are as passionate as we are about cutting carbon emissions and providing cleaner air for all. The right person for this role will need to foster a positive and collaborative environment within the private sector and the wider Believ team. Reporting to the Head of Transaction Management (TM) in the Property team, this position is instrumental in driving Believ’s growth. You will be responsible for managing and ensuring the completion of real estate transactions, to secure prime, leasehold sites for EV charging across the UK. This requires a strategic, proactive approach that ensures transactions are taken from Heads of Terms to completed leases / purchase agreements, thereby delivering a high‑quality EV site pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiations from identification of opportunity to completed leases, structuring agreements that enhance Believ’s growth and provide a solid foundation for long‑term partnerships.
  • Maintain a strong focus on revenue generation through effective deal structures, ensuring each acquisition aligns with Believ’s financial targets and strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and other external stakeholders in the private sector to foster ongoing acquisition opportunities and future site partnerships.
  • Assess the ongoing feasibility of proposed schemes and have regard for matters such as tenure, boundary issues, existing tenancies and restrictions/covenants.
  • Support the due diligence process for potential sites, including title searches, surveys, environmental assessments, and other necessary investigations.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and efficient site development.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and other relevant legislation.
  • Work with the Design & Engineering team to help evaluate suitable land parcel opportunities and create initial layout designs ahead of landlord and developer consultation.
  • Awareness of where/when wayleaves/easements are required and the negotiation thereof.
  • Internal and external stakeholder management – working in conjunction with the wider internal team and the project management team.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement strategies for optimising internal processes and maximise efficiency.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of all legal documents related to site acquisition and leasing.
  • Ensure the TM team maintains accurate and up‑to‑date transaction records and documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with property transactions.
  • Proactively refine and adapt the processes in place to ensure an efficient, speedy transaction process.
  • Regularly test and update the TM process.
