The primary focus of the Kit Matron at Belhaven Hill School is to work with the Houseparents, matronal team and domestic department to ensure the smooth running of the domestic routines with regards to the uniform, home clothes and sports kit (as well as other general House laundry) requirements of the boarding and day pupils at the School.
The Kit Matron will take care of any minor alternations or repairs to uniform and assist with the Second Hand Uniform shop stock.
The Kit Matron will also support the domestic department with ensuring that boarding houses are cleaned to a high standard, taking responsibility for a specific area of the boarding houses.
The Kit Matron should be able to convey information about the children to parents and other members of staff when required and therefore needs to be able to observe any change in children’s behaviour or appearance and communicate their concerns (pastoral and medical) to other members of staff.
