City & Neighbourhood Services Department

There is currently one permanent, full time post. All applications for employment are considered strictly on the basis of merit. You will be responsible to the appropriate line manager for the efficient and effective performance of the duties of the post in accordance with any specified time and quality targets so as to ensure the fulfilment of the council’s statutory duty with regard to enforcement of the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 and other relevant environmental protection legislation.

  • Neighbourhood Development & Regeneration – Overseeing community centres, health and wellbeing initiatives, active living, and community safety.
  • Regulatory & City Services – Providing environmental health services, dog and pest control, port health, emergency planning, and bereavement services.
  • Strategic Waste Management – Leading waste collection, recycling, and fleet management.
