There are currently two permanent, full-time posts. You will be responsible to the Working Trades and Services Supervisor (Electrical) and other appropriate officers for the undertaking of electrical work as directed within the Property Maintenance Service, either individually or as part of a team.
About the department: The Property and Projects Department oversees the council’s capital investment programmes, which include more than 200 live projects valued at over £200 million. Key responsibilities include:
- Project Management Unit – Operating the Portfolio Office, ensuring the effective delivery of capital projects.
- Estates Management Unit – Managing council land, property assets, and investment portfolios, supporting urban regeneration.
- Programme Delivery Unit – Leading the design, construction, and delivery of physical regeneration projects.
- Property Maintenance Unit – Ensuring council buildings remain legally compliant, safe, and fit for purpose.
