You will report to the Director of Human Resources and be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the development and delivery of strategic HR services including strategic workforce planning; employability and skills; learning & development including elected member development; equality, diversity & inclusion; and health and wellbeing.
- Deputising for the Director of Human Resources, as and when required, within your sphere of responsibility.
- Assisting and supporting the Director of Human Resources to lead a strong delivery-focused team and the delivery of a quality service across the organisation.
- Managing and monitoring allocated Human Resource (HR) projects to ensure effective and efficient completion to agreed standards and working with managers and stakeholders to meet and deliver corporate priorities.
- Providing professional guidance and support to the organisation’s leadership team, Elected Members and other senior officers, advising on issues with significant and strategic implications and attending CMT sessions as required.
- Leading in the development of, and ensuring the implementation of the department's annual objectives and work programmes and making a high-level contribution to the management of the senior management team.
