BelfastSouth is recruiting a Digital Programme Lead to join its Digital Team. This role forms part of a two-person leadership structure responsible for delivering innovative digital programmes across South Belfast. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, the post focuses on supporting children and young people, particularly those from disadvantaged communities, to build digital skills, confidence and opportunities through creative technologies and participant-centred learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Jointly plan, manage and deliver BelfastSouth's Digital Programme, including evening, weekend and holiday activities where required.
  • Deliver training and workshops in areas such as digital fabrication, coding, CAD, gaming, digital media, photography, film, VR and 3D printing.
  • Support accredited and non-accredited learning opportunities.
  • Engage and mentor children and young people, encouraging participation, creativity and progression.
  • Build partnerships with schools, community organisations and youth groups across South Belfast.
  • Support marketing, recruitment and digital communications, including social media and content creation.
  • Maintain programme records, evaluation data and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate schedules, resources, equipment and external trainers.
  • Support events, showcases and exhibitions promoting participant achievements.
  • Ensure safeguarding, inclusion and compliance at all times.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, including digital fabrication training linked to OCN-accredited delivery.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly in disadvantaged communities.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Experience delivering or supporting digital skills or creative digital activities.
  • Experience using digital technologies and/or digital fabrication equipment.
  • Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of digital and creative industry pathways.
  • Experience in community or educational settings.
  • Experience delivering accredited training (e.g. OCN).
  • Passion for supporting young people's development and improving life opportunities.
