Salary: £42,839 - £46,142 per annum (Band 7)

Permanent, Full-time (36 hours per week)

The primary location for this post is Maghaberry. The post holder may be required to work in any of the NI prison / secure unit locations where Belfast Met deliver services. These locations include HMP Maghaberry; HMP Hydebank Wood College, Belfast or any associated or college site, and locations where we have training suites.

Job Purpose: The Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) is responsible for leading and coordinating the SENCO provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Key responsibilities include implementing the SEND policy, providing support to staff, working with students and liaising with internal partners, and ensuring compliance with SEND regulations and legislation. The work will promote student independence and participation in education.
