Job summary: Permanent, Up to 36 hours per week. The post holder will be required to adopt a flexible approach (including evening work if required). Up to £42,917 per annum plus 4 responsibility allowances of £8,304 per annum (one responsibility allowance is £2,076). In addition, candidates may be eligible for £3,333 Threshold and £1,735 Deane payment, following qualifying service and successful application to the Threshold Scheme. Option to join the Northern Ireland Teacher’s Pension Scheme which, in addition to your contribution, offer an Employer Contribution rate which is currently 29.1% of your salary.
Job Purpose: The post holder will provide first class curriculum management by working in partnership with a team of dedicated staff, the Head of Department, and other members of the College Leadership Teams to ensure that the Belfast Metropolitan College is recognised for excellence in all that it does. Within a designated curriculum area, the post holder will have an innovative approach to teaching, learning and assessment and will develop and lead on the implementation of strategies and business plans to develop a highly responsive curriculum, which provides staff and students with the opportunities they need to be successful. The post holder will ensure high standards of excellence in teaching and learning are achieved in their relevant curriculum area through the delivery of an effective and efficient service. The post holder will be expected to teach a minimum of 2 hours per week for 32 weeks (this may be annualised and may provide for cover i.e. not specifically timetabled).
