About the Job
In 2023, Belfast International Airport announced a development program valued at £100M over the next five years. The existing engineering and projects team will be enhanced by the addition of a Project Manager (Mechanical & Electrical) to assist with the implementation of this capital program. This is an exciting opportunity for a person wishing to develop their career within the aviation industry; as Project Manager (Mechanical & Electrical), the successful candidate will be part of a high performing team building BIA's (Belfast International Airport) future infrastructure. BIA is part of the VINCI group of companies. This represents an excellent opportunity for exposure to an international network of professionals and businesses. The successful candidate will play a key role in the airport's future, reporting to the Capital Projects Manager, supporting the planning and execution of strategically important projects within a live airport operational environment.
Job Purpose
The job holder will primarily be responsible for assisting the Capital Projects Manager in delivering M&E Specific as well as Building & Civil Engineering projects. These will include but are not limited to reconfigurations, new builds, fit out and refurbishment.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of Level 6 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering or relevant discipline
- Full current driving licence & own transport
- CSCS, CSR, SafePass or equivalent construction industry card
- Minimum 5 years experience as Project or Contracts Manager in large-scale construction projects
- Proven supervisory/people management experience, including performance and development
- Experience of managing contractors/consultants
- Experience of managing and reporting project commercial performance
- Experience of contract administration
- High degree of competency in Microsoft Office suite
- Operational knowledge of current H&S regulations
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
