JOB TITLE:Airside Operations Coordinator REPORTING TO:Aerodrome Operations Manager DEPARTMENT:Operations Department HOURS OF WORK:37 hours per week Job Purpose: The Airside Operations Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the Aerodrome at Belfast International Airport. This position is crucial for the effective management of winter operations, staff training delivery, compliance auditing, and various other tasks related to airfield operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Maximising safe airfield use and driving an efficient on-time operation, the Airside Operations Coordinator will act as a key point of contact for stakeholders to ensure a safe, smooth, and seamless operation in accordance with BFS aerodrome certificate. Main Tasks & Responsibilities: Winter Operations Management: Plan and coordinate winter operations, including the Snow Plan, training coordination, chemical supply management, and participation in the on-call snow team. Present comprehensive winter ops washup reports to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Coordinate with third-party contractors to ensure readiness for winter operations. 2.Annual Grass Management: Coordinate the annual grass bottoming out process to maintain airfield safety standards. Staff Training: Assist in the training and assessment of Operations department staff to ensure competency in airfield operations procedures. Administer the company ADP (Airside Driving Permit) programme, process and monitor ADP records, along with organising familiarisation for all ADP applicants. Airside Compliance Auditing: Collaborate with the Aerodrome Operations Manager and Safety Manager (Aerodrome) on the Airside Compliance Auditing Programme to ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Compile and manage a database of all GSE in line with Commercial agreements. Assist in delivery of Aerodrome Compliance Monitoring Programme Audit the audits conducted by the airside team to ensure quality and consistency in compliance and operational procedures. Actively monitor and take steps to continuously improve the efficiency of Aircraft Turnaround auditing programme. Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with other tasks as allocated by supervisors to support overall airfield operations, training, assessing, or departmental administrative support. Covering of Operational Rosters (after training) during exceptional circumstances. Participate in any Emergency or Emergency Exercise in accordance with the Emergency Orders. Essential criteria: Proven experience in airfield operations. Previous involvement in liaising with third-parties such as service providers or contractors. Experience in maintaining records, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards in an operational environment. Software packages such as MS Word, Outlook & Excel Producing and delivering effective written and verbal communication at all levels of the organisation Working knowledge of Health & Safety practices and regulations. 3 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English, or equivalent Full current driving licence.
