Police Constable

Belfast Harbour Police is a specialised Port and Neighbourhood Policing Service responsible for policing the Port of Belfast and the wider Belfast Harbour Estate.

With over 1500 residents, more than 760 businesses and up to 5 million visitors per year, our policing challenges are diverse and our service delivery, focusing on community engagement is central to ensuring that we create a secure and safe environment for all those who work, live or socialise within Belfast Harbour.

Officers and civilian support staff provide 24-hour, 365 day response cover to incidents and requests for assistance throughout the 2,000 acre Harbour Estate supported by a neighbourhood sector policing model.

Our purpose is to provide a professional policing service which is trusted by our partners and communities and recognised for its capability to protect People and Property and Support the business within Belfast Harbour.

Criteria

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Must have completed three years\' service to include the 2-year probationary period and the Policing Diploma or your forces equivalent qualification at the point of application.

Experience

  • You must be a current serving police officer with a UK Territorial Police Service or have served within the last eighteen months.
