We are looking for a Compliance Executive for a fixed term contract (18 months) to cover Maternity Leave.

Role Purpose

This individual will play a supporting role in the delivery of developing and maintaining a coherent and comprehensive suite of system documentation required to comply with all applicable legislation, regulations, accepted business practices, and standards adopted by Belfast Harbour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Compliance Lead in System Development and Maintenance
  • Assist the Compliance Lead in Compliance Assurance
  • Assist the Compliance Lead in Business Improvement Monitoring and Reporting
  • Assist the Compliance Lead with Incident Response and Investigation
  • External Relationships
  • Personal Professional Development

Essential Criteria

  • Third level qualification in a business or engineering subject (preferable); or Relevant vocational qualification or certification in a related discipline.
  • Full driving licence
  • Recent experience in a compliance or assurance role within an operational or commercial environment.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office and internet research.
  • Recent experience of auditing against legislative requirements and management system

Desirable

  • Recent experience of implementation of management system standards.
  • Experience in design or implementation of health, safety, environmental, energy or business continuity programmes.
  • Awareness of the modern corporate governance environment.
