Belfairs is a vibrant Academy with 1400 students on roll from 11‑18 yrs. We were graded a good school by Ofsted in 2013. We are a highly successful and heavily oversubscribed academy in south east England with high quality and well‑resourced facilities. Our staff enjoy excellent opportunities for career development and a childcare voucher and cycle purchase scheme through salary sacrifice.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances. Pay Range – LGPS 29‑33 (this will be pro‑rated to reflect term‑time only working). FTE £39,862 to £44,075 (Pro Rata £34,174 – £37,785). Monday to Thursday 8 am to 4 pm, Friday 8 am to 3.30 pm. Required June 2026.

As Year Lead, you will play a key role in promoting high standards of behaviour, attendance and punctuality within your year group, ensuring students are well supported both pastorally and academically. Working closely with teachers, tutors and support staff, you will lead and develop initiatives that build on students’ strengths, support their wellbeing and encourage them to achieve their full potential. The role involves working collaboratively with staff, parents and external agencies to ensure that every student in the year group receives the guidance, support and opportunities they need to thrive within the Academy.
