Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable Invoice Processing: Enter supplier invoices into Precoro/QuickBooks. Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes. Route for approval, resolve coding or invoice discrepancies, and prepare for payment runs.
- Expenses Processing: Receive, validate and code employee expense claims. Ensure compliance with company policy and resolve any discrepancies. Prepare expense batch for approval and payment.
- Bank Payments & Reconciliations: Execute approved supplier payments in QuickBooks/online banking according to the payment timetable. Perform regular bank reconciliations, flagging and researching any variances for review.
- Vehicle Hire: Process and manage payments for vehicle hire invoices. Liaise with internal stakeholders to arrange and confirm hire requirements.
- Ad-hoc Supplier & AP Support: Respond to internal queries on supplier accounts and AP invoice status. Support the Accountant with aged creditor reporting and follow-up actions. First line of support for external supplier queries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts payable role.
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions).
- AAT part-qualified (or equivalent) preferred.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Precoro or Dext advantageous.
