Your Tasks

  • Develop technical specifications, drawings and documentation to support the tendering and contracting of ICP subcontracts and Customer Substations.
  • Supervise and provide expert input to the ICP design process to ensure DNO approval, compliance with contract and connection offer requirements.
  • Provide leadership when interacting with DNOs and TSOs whilst developing strong working relationships with key project stakeholders.
  • Ensure that equipment selected is optimised and meets grid code requirements.
  • Manage inputs from across the engineering team in a timely manner to ensure successful delivery of grid scope, in addition to supporting sales opportunities from a grid perspective.
  • Expand the base of approved and trusted ICP subcontractors for UK projects.
  • Support the project teams and managing contractors with the preparation of grid documentation, grid studies and associated testing including EON, ION & FON to ensure on time energisation of projects.
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and operational phases.
  • Support the engineering and project delivery teams to improve the strategy for the delivery of interconnection works and battery storage project delivery.
  • Adhere to all Company policies/procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and QHSE policy.

Your profile

  • BSc, BEng or equivalent.
  • Experience of preparing and managing designs and connections at 33kV and 132kV mandatory, 66kV, 275kV and 400kV.
  • Experience with ICP contractors and ICP-related works.
  • Project management knowledge.
  • Experience working within DNO, TSO or ICP.
  • Strong network of connections in DNOs, ICPs and the wider industry advantageous.
