Your Tasks

  • Provide contract management services to support the delivery of solar PV & battery storage projects in the UK.
  • Take lead within Belectric UK project teams for development and management of EPC contracts and associated supply or service subcontracts.
  • Support sales and project teams with contract management capability and understanding.
  • Application of a robust contracting strategy to ensure projects are delivered to high quality, on time and within budget.
  • Prepare, review, negotiate and manage contracts regarding all requirements and obligations of an EPC project including scope, timeline, costs, communication and documentation.
  • Management of amendments, variations and claims including identification and evaluation of project events and project facts.
  • Support project teams in all contractual matters including risk management, contractual disputes/escalations, and claims as well as contractual communication.
  • Develop and maintain standards and processes for contract management across EPC projects including KPIs to monitor performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and key suppliers.
  • Cross‑functional strong internal cooperation with key departments like sales, procurement, engineering, commercial, project management and legal.

Your profile

  • Confident in developing strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors and internally.
  • Self‑starter with commitment to self‑development and passion for renewable energy.
  • Desire to work cross‑functional in an international company.
  • Comfortable with travel and overnight stays - 5‑10% of the time.
  • Degree in relevant engineering, commercial or legal discipline.
  • Extensive relevant professional experience in Contract and Claim Management in Mid to Large Scale Construction project.
  • Strong understanding of contract and project matters in an EPC environment.
  • Previous experience of managing contractual issues from escalation, claims disputes, mediation and through to resolution.
  • Comfortable with working with bespoke contracts for different clients.
  • Experience of negotiating agreements with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with English contract law and experience of EPC/engineering/building contract management essential and within solar PV and battery storage markets.
  • Strong understanding of typical contract formats used in EPC business and associated contract negotiation experience, particularly with NEC and FIDIC.
  • Existing network of industry contacts.
  • Working technical knowledge of solar PV and/or battery storage.
