We are seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our market expansion for high-speed optical transceivers and related active/passive optical components. You will be responsible for driving profitable revenue growth across your assigned territory by identifying new business opportunities through to close and by managing growth and upsell into existing accounts, within the data centre, telecom, and enterprise networking sectors.
This is a "hunter" sales role requiring a blend of technical credibility and strategic relationship management both in direct and indirect customer engagement. This role requires a high calibre of professional communication skills to effectively execute strategic account plans through regular communication with Telco, Enterprise and Datacentre customers and Strategic Partners, maintaining a deep understanding of current and future projects, effective forecasting, cold calling, and driving awareness of new and current optical connectivity solutions through end users and channel partners. You must be focused on hitting targets.
This role will be remote ideally within the United Kingdom with frequent UK/International travel to meet with customers and attend conferences and events.
You will make an impact in the following way:
- You will be the owner of a defined set of sales targets aligned to the responsibilities of the role, taking accountability for meeting and exceeding these targets over a sustained period.
- Develop and execute a regional sales plan to meet and exceed annual profitability and revenue targets and increase market share as well as proactively identify and acquire new customers with a particular focus on Tier 1, 2 Telco and AltNets, AI/DC Cloud Providers, Systems Integrators, Strategic Tier 1 VAR Partners and Enterprise customers.
- Build and maintain long‑term customer/prospect relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, and sourcing teams.
