Job Summary: Our Production team works on a rotating three shift pattern of 8 paid hours per day over 5 days a week. At busy times you may be asked to work overtime. In return we offer a salary ranging from £27,500 to £35,000 p.a. depending on levels of experience, with an additional night shift allowance of 10%, a discretionary bonus scheme as well as 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays). You will receive a generous pension scheme, life assurance as well as the chance to take up other generous benefits including Health Insurance, cycle to work scheme, an employee assistance program, paid time off for volunteer work, plus many others.
The role reports to the Operations Manager and is located at our UK manufacturing plant in Parham, Suffolk so your own transport is required and there is parking on site.
You will make an impact in the following way:
- Production set-up activities
- Running of cable extrusion lines
- Constant monitoring of the lines
- Maintaining and cleaning tooling
- Ensure good quality by inspection of finished products
We train our employees on-the-job to learn the continuous process of cable extrusion. Once trained, you will become a valuable technician capable of running cable extrusion lines from start to finish.
What you will bring:
- Experience of manufacturing processes and health and safety best practice plus the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Basic mechanical ability and knowledge of machine operations
- Strong sense of team working
- Educated to GCSE level in Maths, English and Science (Physics) with grades A-C/8-4 or equivalent.
