  • Support production through participation in escalation meetings, helping to minimise downtime and maintain delivery schedules.
  • Ensure engineering investigation plans are robust, well-managed, and clearly documented.
  • Support configuration and change management activities to ensure product modifications are properly controlled.
  • Lead and complete engineering change requests, permits, and technical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Support supplier-related design investigations and work closely with quality teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to reliability, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across electric motors and associated mechanical systems.
  • Ensure timely resolution of engineering actions relating to quality and non-conformance issues.

Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant mechanical design experience within complex engineering environments (preferably Aerospace).
  • Strong experience designing rotating equipment, shafts, bearings, seals, and mechanical structures.
  • Experience using CATIA and NX.
  • Sound understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to design for cost, manufacturability, reliability, and ease of assembly.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of electrical machines and systems.
  • Experience within the electric motors sector or related electrified vehicle industries.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or product support environments.
  • Background in technical investigations, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement programmes.
