Technical Data Engineer - Landing Gear Systems Location: Filton (60% onsite - increased onsite during initial months) Contract: Until November 2026 (likely extension) Rate: £45.00 per hour Umbrella / £33.64 per hour PAYE Working Pattern: 35 hours per week (4.5 days, between 7am-7pm) Clearance: BPSS (completed by the Client) IR35: Inside IR35 The Role Our client is seeking a Technical Data Engineer to join their Landing Gear Systems team, supporting the creation and delivery of aircraft maintenance documentation across the full aircraft lifecycle. Working within a transnational technical data environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring maintenance manuals accurately reflect aircraft configuration, supporting airline customers and contributing to aircraft safety, reliability and operational efficiency. This position has a strong focus on Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) and Troubleshooting Manuals (TSM), with Landing Gear experience highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Author, review and maintain AMM and TSM documentation for Landing Gear systems Analyse design changes, drawings and modifications to assess impact on maintenance documentation Ensure documentation meets ICA and EASA regulatory requirements Manage source data planning, verification and incorporation Respond to airline customer technical queries within agreed timescales Provide active support during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and in‑service issues Monitor and coordinate subcontracted authoring activities Lead and contribute to technical reviews with design teams and stakeholders Ensure compliance with safety, quality and technical data standards Drive continuous improvement in technical data processes, tools and ways of working Skills & Experience Required Background in Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance, or Technical Data Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance documentation (AMM, TSM essential) Understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance and production processes Experience working with configuration management and design data Familiarity with international technical authoring standards and tools Landing Gear experience highly desirable CMM (Component Maintenance Manual) experience considered Proactive, detail‑driven and confident working with technical stakeholders Strong communication and organisational skills If you think this could be a new and exciting career opportunity for you and you would like to learn more or just for an initial, no-obligation conversation please contact me on (phone number removed) or you can apply directly by following the Easy Apply link and I will contact you as soon as I receive your contact details.
