Belcan Workforce Solutions is recruiting an Internal Communications and Events Assistant to join a large, complex industrial site based in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in engagement to gain valuable experience in a professional, fast‑paced environment.

This role offers variety, visibility, and the chance to contribute to impactful internal initiatives. Fully site‑based, you will support the delivery of internal communications across a range of established channels. As an Internal Communications and Events Assistant, you will help create, publish, and maintain engaging content while supporting internal campaigns, employee engagement activities, and site events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Internal Communications Co‑ordinator
  • Contributing content for digital signage, SharePoint, email communications, and newsletters
  • Ensuring all communications align with corporate brand standards
  • Providing support to the Events Co‑ordinator and covering during periods of absence

This role requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.

Essential requirements include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Prior experience in a communications role is not essential; emphasis will be placed on aptitude, approach, and willingness to learn. This is a 12‑month contract, inside IR35, paying up to £18.46 per hour PAYE or up to £23.78 per hour via umbrella.
