Our Client, an Engineering company, is seeking a Temporary Works Engineer for a permanent position in Hinkley Point C location. This role is placed within Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals or highly regulated industry.
Role
- Coordinate and supervise all types of temporary works in line with client Temporary works procedures, ensuring safe erection, use, maintenance and dismantling of temporary work.
- Delegate and organise tasks to align with the temporary works schedule.
- Engage with the client and contractors to ensure the temporary works are designed, checked and implemented on site in accordance with relevant drawings, specifications and safety standards.
- Manage and monitor all temporary works to ensure delivery in line with client HSEQ policy.
- Prepare, maintain and regularly review the Temporary Works register to ensure all temporary works and the assigned level of risk is included.
- Ensure any proposed changes in material or construction are assessed and ensure any agreed changes/corrections are carried out.
- Work closely with the Site Engineering and Installation team.
- Propose technical solutions to support installation and the supporting temporary works.
- Design safe, compliant and cost-effective solutions.
- Submit material needs to procurement and logistics in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with UK construction codes and standards.
- Provide input into Risk assessments and Method statements.
Your profile
You will have Temporary Works Engineer experience within Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals or highly regulated industry. Experience in proposing technical solutions to support installation and the supporting temporary works.
