Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Trading Regulatory Compliance Advisor to join a high-profile trading compliance environment on a 12-month inside IR35 contract based in London. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your regulatory expertise within a complex, fast-paced commodities trading setting, supporting robust governance and market integrity.

As a Trading Regulatory Compliance Advisor, you will act as a trusted advisor to trading and senior stakeholders, ensuring full compliance with global trading regulations and market conduct rules. You will lead compliance initiatives, conduct surveillance and risk assessments, and contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures and training programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on regulatory requirements and upcoming changes
  • Monitoring trading activity for potential breaches
  • Supporting new products and transactions
  • Acting as a key contact for regulatory interactions

You will collaborate closely with Trading, Legal and Risk teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks, while promoting a strong culture of integrity.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in commodities trading compliance or a similar regulatory role with 2+ years experience using trade surveillance tools; minimum of 10+ years in trading compliance for a Senior Advisor
  • Strong knowledge of MiFID II, EMIR, MAR, Dodd-Frank and related regulations
  • Experience using trade surveillance and compliance systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks and provide pragmatic advice

Contract details:

  • Location: London (fully on-site, Monday to Friday)
  • Duration: 12-month contract (inside IR35)
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Rate: Up to £76.86 per hour PAYE or £99.02 per hour Umbrella
