Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Manager
Location: Home-based / Remote, with travel approximately every two weeks to London
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to support major infrastructure and civil engineering projects, with a particular focus on work winning, bids and tender-stage procurement.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who understands how supply chain strategy can contribute to successful bids, competitive pricing and subsequent project delivery.
The Role
You will support the development and implementation of project procurement strategies, working closely with bid, estimating, project and supply chain teams throughout the tender process.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting procurement and supply chain activities throughout the work winning and bid process
- Developing procurement strategies and supporting supplier selection
- Working alongside estimating teams to develop price build-ups and carry bid-stage intelligence into delivery
- Managing relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and other external parties
- Ensuring appropriate supply chain assurance across project and package requirements
- Supporting sustainable procurement objectives and supply chain initiatives
- Contributing to responses for procurement and supply chain technical competency questions
- Ensuring procurement activities are undertaken professionally, ethically and with a focus on achieving best value
About You
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Significant procurement and supply chain experience within tenders, bid winning and estimating
- Experience working on infrastructure and civil engineering projects
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing best-value outcomes
- Knowledge and practical application of NEC contracts
- Experience using electronic procurement/tendering platforms such as Jaggaer or SourceDogg
- Strong commercial, contractual and construction knowledge
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong analytical skills and a practical, logical approach
- The confidence to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
