Overview
Belcan Workforce Solutions are seeking two experienced Mechanical & Electrical Senior Planners to support a major defence infrastructure programme. These are site-based construction delivery roles, working closely with the Head of Planning and Work Package Leads to develop and maintain detailed delivery schedules on a high-profile project.
Due to the sensitive nature of the project, aspiring candidates must meet eligibility criteria for UK Security Clearance.
As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for managing all planning and scheduling activities within Primavera P6, ensuring accurate representation of the delivery programme within the Programme to Complete (P2C). You’ll act as a key adviser, supporting quality data reporting and collaborating with Programme Planners to ensure alignment across the wider programme.
We are specifically looking for Senior Planners with strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) experience, capable of integrating complex infrastructure and plant work packages, and driving schedule performance through earned value analysis and critical path interrogation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) elements of the delivery Programme using P6
- Interface with supply chain partners and lead schedule reviews
- Facilitate planning workshops to mitigate schedule risks
- Ensure compliance with NEC contractual mechanisms and Programme for Acceptance processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve delivery logic and sequencing
Requirements
- Proficient in Primavera P6 (Enterprise environment)
- Strong site-based experience on complex infrastructure projects
- NEC contract experience and earned value analysis expertise
- Skilled in critical path analysis, float erosion, and schedule interrogation
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and drawings
