Job Title: EC&I Design Engineer – Senior Level Location: St Helens (Hybrid working available) Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Are you an experienced EC&I Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? We\’re seeking a highly skilled professional to join a dynamic engineering team working on cutting-edge EPC projects across multiple sectors including nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals and renewables. As a Senior EC&I Design Engineer, you\’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality electrical control and instrumentation designs for control panels and related systems. You\’ll act as a technical authority, supporting project delivery from concept through to manufacturing and commissioning. Key Responsibilities: Lead EC&I design activities for electrical control panels and systems. Translate customer requirements into robust engineering solutions. Manage design projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and quality assurance. Support construction and manufacturing stages, including change control. Provide technical guidance and client-facing support throughout project lifecycle. Ideal Candidate: Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Proven experience in regulated industries (nuclear, defence, oil & gas, power). Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical engineering design. Skilled in AutoCAD, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, and AMTECH. Experience in LV switchgear, motor control centres, automation systems, and variable drive systems.
