We’re looking for a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to support advanced aerospace projects. This is an Inside IR35 contract role based in either Bristol or Runcorn, with a flexible hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical wiring design using Catia V5 and NX with electrical workbench capabilities.
- 3D modelling and CAD installation analysis of electrical looms/harnesses.
- Draughting and cable routing design.
- Interpretation and implementation of principle drawings.
- Compilation of accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs).
- Circuit design with a focus on fusing and electrical protection strategies.
Toolsets
- Catia V5 (Electrical Workbench)
- NX (Electrical Workbench)
Preferred Experience
- Aerospace industry experience.
- Electrical design and installation support for Tempest and/or Typhoon Aircraft.
- Familiarity with electrical methods and processes.
- Delegation of authority for ‘authorised check’ on Tempest and/or Typhoon.
- Awareness of aircraft build processes.
