Responsibilities
- Analyse quality performance data, generate KPIs, and identify trends to reduce the cost of non-quality.
- Provide data-driven insights and trend analysis to support continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to identify and implement quality improvement opportunities.
- Lead and facilitate quality improvement projects, ensuring clear ownership and effective action management.
- Escalate quality performance concerns through KPI analysis and support mitigation activities.
- Promote and coach the use of quality tools and methodologies, including problem solving, error proofing, and quality planning techniques.
- Review, develop, and monitor operational surveillance activities to ensure consistent build quality and operator competence.
- Lead investigations into complex technical and quality issues, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Support the reduction and resolution of quality concessions, quality events, and related plant issues.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements.
- Provide quality support to internal and external stakeholders as required.
Skills and Experience
- Experience within the aerospace industry or a similar complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of aircraft manufacturing processes and quality assurance principles.
- Proven experience driving process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret quality metrics, trends, and KPIs.
- Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as APQP, error proofing, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving.
- Strong communication, presentation, and technical report writing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with exposure to automation, coding, or macros being advantageous.
