Belcan Workforce Solutions are currently looking for a Project Manager for a Defence establishment in Reading. The post is for an estimated 10 month contract and is paying competitively on a daily basis. Successful applicants will be required to be Security Cleared prior to appointment and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain UK Security Clearance. An IR35 assessment for tax purposes is required for this engagement. In order to determine the Limited Company’s correct IR35 status, an individual Limited Company assessment will be required.
About the Role: Our client is seeking an accomplished Project Manager with proven expertise in leading complex construction projects, ideally within the Defence sector. The successful candidate will bring a strong project management background, exceptional leadership capabilities, and outstanding organisational skills. Experience in delivering Instrumentation and Control Systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the operational management and delivery of projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (client, contractors, and project delivery teams).
- Manage key packages of site works and ensure nuclear safety and quality standards are met.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget through effective management of deliverables, risks, and opportunities.
- Create an inclusive environment, motivating teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Support implementation of project controls and commercial management (NEC3).
