Energy Windpower client is currently seeking a Senior Commercial Project Manager to join its Onshore Service team. This role will act as a key commercial business partner to Operations management, supporting multiple onshore wind projects across a geographical hub typically 15-30 sites/windfarms.
You will own full commercial accountability for your hub, working closely with internal stakeholders and customers to drive performance, profitability, and compliance.
- Full Profit and loss and balance sheet ownership for assigned projects/hub
- Identify, manage, and report commercial risks and opportunities
- Maintain and report risk registers and non-conformance costs
- Monitor and analyse KPIs: Availability, Corrective and service hours, Project spend and gross margins, Billings, receivables, and overdue management
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to Operations, attending regular face-to-face meetings where required
- Prepare and present monthly performance reports to senior management
- Resolve day-to-day commercial issues with a focus on profitability and customer satisfaction
- Support tender and sales phases, including contract drafting and T&Cs
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in project-related commercial roles, ideally within the energy or renewable sector
- Demonstrable experience in: Project controlling, Risk and opportunity management, Currency management, IFRS-based accounting principles
- SAP and Microsoft Office suite (including Power BI)
Newcastle (1 day in office - Thursday) - but this is not mandatory
