Are you passionate about driving manufacturing efficiency and optimising production processes? Our client is seeking a skilled Process Planning Engineer (PPE) to join their team in Broughton. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects that shape industrial performance and deliver continuous improvement.
The Role
As a Process Planning Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the best industrial sequence from conception to execution. You'll create and maintain PERT charts and Standard Line Balancing, enabling Production Pace Control. Your expertise will help monitor manufacturing performance, identify gaps and implement improvements to reduce efficiency losses. You'll also translate industrial requirements into actionable design and supply chain strategies, evaluate modification impacts and maintain critical databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PERT charts and SLB for production optimisation.
- Monitor and analyse manufacturing performance, proposing efficiency improvements.
- Reduce white/red space inefficiencies and optimise allocated time through VA/NVA analysis.
- Support process optimisation and industrial architecture evolution.
- Coach stakeholders on STV/SLB usage and maintain digital tools for these processes.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments.
- SAP experience.
- Strong track record in improvement projects.
Desirable Requirements
- Build plan sequencing experience.
- Knowledge of line balancing methodology.
- Background in lineside engineering highly beneficial.
