We're looking for a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to support advanced aerospace projects, including the BAE Tempest and Typhoon aircraft. This is an Inside IR35 contract role based in either Bristol or Runcorn, with a flexible hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical wiring design using Catia V5 and NX with electrical workbench capabilities.
- 3D modelling and CAD installation analysis of electrical looms/harnesses.
- Draughting and cable routing design.
- Interpretation and implementation of principle drawings.
- Compilation of accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs).
- Circuit design with a focus on fusing and electrical protection strategies.
Toolsets:
- Catia V5 (Electrical Workbench)
- NX (Electrical Workbench)
Preferred Experience:
- Aerospace industry experience.
- Electrical design and installation support for BAE Tempest and/or Typhoon Aircraft.
- Familiarity with BAE formats, electrical methods, and processes.
- Delegation of authority for 'authorised check' on Tempest and/or Typhoon.
- Awareness of aircraft build processes.
