Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Casting Quality Inspector to support complex inspection activities within a leading engineering environment. This ongoing Inside IR35 contract offers the opportunity to work on high-integrity components used in advanced turbine applications, contributing to quality assurance processes that directly impact global performance and safety standards.

You will play a crucial role in non-destructive testing activities, supplier interaction, and technical decision-making. In this position, you will perform independent NDT and dimensional inspections on turbine-related components, often at supplier locations. You will ensure all results align with technical specifications, review associated documentation, and clearly report any discrepancies found. Your work will include supplier development, preventative quality measures, defect analysis, and initiating corrective actions. Collaboration with internal and global teams will be a key part of your daily responsibilities.

To excel in this role, you will bring strong technical knowledge, experience in cast component inspection, and recognised ISO9712 Level II certifications across relevant NDT methods. You will also apply quality tools such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, and RCA while confidently using MS Office and SAP systems. This role involves both office-based work and travel to supplier sites, offering variety and professional development.

Essential requirements:

  • ISO9712 (or equivalent) Level II in VT, MT, PT and UT
  • Several years' experience inspecting cast components
  • Knowledge of 5 Why, FMEA, 8D and RCA quality methods
  • Strong communication and supplier engagement skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
