Our Client an Engineering company are seeking an Training and Competency or Learning and Development coordinator for a fixed term contract position in Aberdeen location for 12 months. This role is placed within Oil & Gas or Engineering industry.

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Training and Competency Coordinator or Learning and Development coordinator to support the delivery of training and competency services within the Torus project. Based in Aberdeen, you will ensure compliance with corporate and legislative standards, maintain accurate training records, and coordinate training activities in line with project requirements.

Responsibilities

As a Learning and Development coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating training and competency records using the On-board Tracker (OBT) system.

Learning and Development coordinator you will coordinate training sessions, assessments, and renewals, ensuring all activities are scheduled and completed efficiently. The role involves liaising with external training providers and internal stakeholders to meet training requirements, identifying training gaps, and supporting the development of individual training plans.

Additionally, you will generate regular reports and ensure the accuracy of data to maintain compliance with company and client standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Training and Competency or Learning and Development role
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training systems
  • Knowledge of industry awarding bodies and oil & gas sector (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with HSEx, Step Change, OPITO, SQA, ECITB.
  • Familiarity with Competence Management Systems and processes (Desirable)
