We're currently looking for a talented Data Scientist / Database Analyst Programmer to join a leading engineering organisation based in Larne, Northern Ireland.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on role focused on data engineering, analytics, and automation, supporting key initiatives within a complex engineering environment. You'll play a vital part in building data pipelines, delivering analytical insights, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Snowflake
- Cleanse, transform, and validate large datasets to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Manage scheduled data loads and perform ongoing data quality checks
- Support and contribute to data governance, standards, and documentation
- Deliver high-quality, curated datasets for reporting and business analysis
- Support development of KPIs, dashboards, and analytical models
- Troubleshoot and resolve data, integration, and reporting issues
- Build and optimise solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
- Integrate and manage CRM data (including Salesforce) to support business processes
- Identify and implement automation and process improvement opportunities across workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5+ years' experience in data science, analytics, data engineering, or automation roles
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Snowflake
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Experience working with CRM data (Salesforce preferred)
- Solid understanding of data modelling, analytics, and data quality principles
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (preferred)
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- Exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics
- Experience with cloud data platforms
