About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Aircraft Electrical Fitter to support maintenance operations on a fleet of rotary aircraft within a military aviation environment. This is a hands-on role working across both line and base maintenance, ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering operational support to flight operations
- Carry out maintenance inspections and repairs as directed
- Perform electrical and avionic maintenance in accordance with OEM instructions
- Work on aircraft systems both on-aircraft and in workshop environments
- Support aircraft movement and hangar operations, including general housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with safety and airworthiness standards at all times
Essential Requirements
- Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionic systems
- Experience using specialised test equipment for electrical/avionics systems
- Up-to-date knowledge of:
- Flight/Airport Operations
- Aircraft Line Maintenance
- Aircraft Base Maintenance
- Completed aircraft maintenance apprenticeship (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in base maintenance and flight operations
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of UK Military Aviation environments
- Understanding of EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations
- Experience working on rotary aircraft platforms (e.g. H135/H145)
