Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a Contracts Engineer – Oil & Gas to join our team on a 12-month contract based fully onsite in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced oil & gas environment, supporting high-value contracts and driving strong commercial outcomes.
As a Contracts Engineer – Oil & Gas, you will play a key role in developing and delivering contracting strategies across a portfolio of site-based services. You will support the full contract lifecycle, including tender preparation, supplier engagement, negotiations, and contract implementation. Working closely with procurement, operations, and contractor teams, you will help ensure contracts are structured effectively and deliver maximum value.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting contract strategy and tendering activity
- Managing supplier engagement and negotiations
- Ensuring effective contract implementation and performance
- Working closely with procurement and operational stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a Procurement, Engineering, or Supply Chain role
- Experience in contract management and administration within a service contractor environment
- Proven experience managing maintenance and turnaround contracts, with an understanding of technical disciplines
- Demonstrated knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (PtP) processes, contracting strategies, contract lifecycle management, and associated controls
- Solid understanding of Procurement roles, responsibilities, and business processes
- Experience working within a large corporation or complex organisational environment; Oil & Gas industry experience is advantageous
- Experience using SAP and other maintenance management tools
- Strong influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills
- Commercially focused with the ability to create business value and drive successful outcomes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
