Job Description

Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a General Services Manager to work for one of our clients based in Portsmouth, UK.\\n\\nYou will require 'Right to Work' in UK, unfortunately no sponsorship will be available for this role.\\n\\nYou will manage General Services deliverables and projects such as Cleaning, Catering, Grounds Maintenance, and office services to ensure delivery on time, quality, and cost while maintaining customer/stakeholder satisfaction. Manage suppliers and strategic partners, monitoring, measuring, and reviewing performance in line with contractual terms and service deliverables.\\n\\nReporting:\\n\\nThe General Services Manager will functionally report directly to the UK Head of General Services, operationally integrating with UK leads (e.g., The UK Waste Lead).\\nThe role will be based in Portsmouth, although it may require some level of support to other sites and may involve occasional travel.Scope of Activities:\\n\\nSupport the management of General Services in line with company objectives.\\nDeliver or support operational services that enable sites and plants to operate in cooperation with internal and external partners to improve service delivery, ensuring delivery on time, quality, and cost:\\nGraphics & Multimedia Administration\\nCatering Services & Restaurants\\nCleaning Services\\nWaste Management\\nGrounds Management\\nTransportation Services\\nMailroom Services\\nSupport through administration of purchase orders, requisitions, and invoicing.\\nMeet the changing needs of the business and align with annual budgeting, investment requirements, and audits.Compliance:\\n\\nThis job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the company's success, reputation, and sustainable growth.Security Clearance:\\n\\nEligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance.Travel Required:\\n\\nSome travel.How You Will Contribute to the Team:\\n\\nResponsible for supporting General (Soft) Services ensuring compliance, service delivery, and site adherence.\\nSupport management of various service providers, working alongside other General Services teams to the agreed KPIs in line with contractual obligations and company processes and procedures.\\nBudget Management – supporting annual Opex targets with management of risk and opportunities.\\nAttend custodian reviews/customer meetings to ensure communication of activities, obtain feedback, and implement necessary actions when required.\\nSupport representation of the UK in transnational activities within General Services scope of activities in defining the transnational strategy.About You:\\n\\nAbility to manage workload with agility and deliver to deadlines.\\nHealth and Safety awareness and interest.\\nCompetent in working to the requirements of processes and procedures.\\nFinancial Management – awareness of Procurement/Purchasing and Tender Processes is advantageous.\\nStakeholder management experience.\\nAbility to work autonomously where required.\\nExperience in Facility Management or similar deliverables would be advantageous. \\n\\nThis vacancy is being advertised by Belcan
