EC&I – Cyber Security Specialist Inspector
Belcan Workforce Solutions is recruiting for Specialist Inspectors to join a national team ensuring the safety of major hazard installations across the UK. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact in Electrical, Control, and Cyber Security at high-hazard sites.

Key responsibilities of the EC&I – Cyber Security Specialist Inspectors
- Inspect major hazard sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Assess technical Safety Reports and investigate incidents involving industrial control systems
- Produce technical inspection reports and take enforcement action where necessary
- Provide expert advice on industrial control systems and electrical equipment in hazardous environments
- Support legal proceedings as an expert witness when required
- Liaise with industry, government, and professional bodies to share intelligence and promote best practice
What we’re looking for
- Experience in a technical engineering role, ideally within major hazards or high-consequence environments
- Strong communication skills, able to influence and present technical information to varied audiences
- Proven ability to produce clear, detailed technical reports
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and address underlying issues
- Relevant degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering
- Chartered status with the IET or eligibility to achieve this
- Full UK driving licence (reasonable adjustments considered)
Technical skills
- Experience with process control and safety instrumented systems (SIS)
- Practical knowledge of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres (Ex)
- Familiarity with industry standards such as BS EN 61511, BS EN 60079, or equivalent
- Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development, including a Specialist Training Programme and support for cyber security expertise
