Belcan Engineering Services is expanding its engineering team in Derby and is looking for talented Product Definition Engineers (PDE) or Component Design Engineers to join us on a permanent basis. You'll become part of a highly experienced team that delivers world-class engineering solutions for some of the most advanced gas turbine programmes in the industry.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in the development of innovative gas turbine components and subsystems, working on cutting-edge engine programmes.
- Creating detailed component and subsystem designs for advanced gas turbine engines.
- Supporting design release activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Working through gated design review processes and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Translating technical requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Using industry-leading design tools including Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
- Contributing to challenging projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from engineers who have:
- HNC, HND or Degree qualification in Mechanical, Aeronautical or a related Engineering discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
- Experience in Gas Turbine design within Aerospace or Power Generation
- Strong capability in component and/or subsystem design
- Experience using Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with customers and internal engineering teams
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for engineering excellence
