Rates: £28.89 PAYE / £39.00 Umbrella

Hours: 37 hours per week (7.4 hour days - 8h Mon-Thurs, 5h Friday)

Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for an Operational Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis, supporting a major energy engineering environment based in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operational Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects within a fast-paced workshop and engineering setting, with a strong likelihood of the role progressing into a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, from tender management through to completion
  • Take ownership of commercial project performance and lifecycle reporting
  • Manage scope, specification, schedule, cost, and quality across assigned projects
  • Accurately track and report project progress using internal systems
  • Coordinate and manage third-party vendors and service providers
  • Liaise closely with engineering teams to define scopes and technical requirements
  • Communicate project updates and progress to key stakeholders
  • Work closely with workshop and planning teams to ensure efficient delivery
  • Drive a strong 'right-first-time' delivery culture
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as an Operational Project Manager within engineering, manufacturing, or energy sectors
  • Strong background in tender management and commercial project oversight
  • Experience managing subcontractors and vendor interfaces
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and workshop teams
  • Experience with rotating equipment or similar environments is highly desirable
