Are you an experienced Design Structures Approver looking to work at the heart of complex aerospace manufacturing? This is an opportunity to play a critical role in delivering high-quality structural design solutions within a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
You will join a highly skilled engineering team supporting a major UK aerospace manufacturing site, providing hands-on design leadership, approvals, and technical solutions that directly impact production, quality, and airworthiness.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will act as a design approval signatory, leading investigations and approving structural design solutions across a variety of production and modification activities. You will work closely with manufacturing, configuration, and wider engineering stakeholders to ensure designs are safe, compliant, and optimised for delivery.
This position offers long-term contract stability, paid overtime, and the chance to influence major structural decisions on live aircraft programmes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and approving structural design solutions for major and minor modifications
- Acting as a technical authority and Design Approval signatory
- Providing expert guidance on design investigations, flow mods, and works queries
- Ensuring all designs meet airworthiness, safety, and configuration requirements
- Supporting production teams with responsive, practical engineering solutions
- Mentoring engineers and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver integrated design outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- Industry-recognised Design Approval / Design Signatory delegation
- Strong structures background within aerospace
- Previous experience working within large aerospace OEM environments
- Confident operating as a technical lead and decision maker
- Comfortable working on-site within a manufacturing setting
