Contract Stores Person

Looking for a varied role where no two days are the same?

We are seeking a proactive and organised Stores Person / Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator for an initial 12 month contract to join our team in Cheltenham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Stores Person to combine logistics and purchasing in their role for our Engineering and manufacturing facility.

The storekeeper will have experience in stores, inventory control, purchasing, or logistics and enjoy taking ownership and making a real impact on day-to-day operations.

This role combines hands-on stock management with purchasing and logistics coordination, ensuring materials and products are available when needed and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the receipt, storage, and issue of stock and materials.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment activities.

Raise purchase orders and follow up on supplier deliveries.

Liaise with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and order status.

Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments and transport arrangements.

Support operational teams by ensuring materials are available when required.

What We're Looking For

Experience in a stores, warehouse, purchasing, inventory, or logistics role.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.

Good communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers.

Competent in Microsoft Office and stock management systems.
