Materials & Logistics Coordinator (12-Month Contract)
We are seeking a proactive and organised Materials & Logistics Coordinator for an initial 12-month contract to join our team in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in stores, inventory control, purchasing, or logistics to play a key role within our engineering and manufacturing facility.
This varied position combines hands-on materials management with purchasing and logistics coordination, ensuring materials and products are available when needed and delivered efficiently. The successful candidate will enjoy taking ownership of day-to-day operations and making a real impact across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of stock, materials, and components.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to maintain stock availability.
- Raise purchase orders and proactively follow up on supplier deliveries.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, availability, and order status.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, including transport and logistics arrangements.
- Ensure materials are available to support production and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support continuous improvement of stock control processes.
