Location: Filton (60% onsite)

Contract: Until 01/03/2027 (possible extension)

Hours: Standard 35 hours across 4.5 days, flexible between 7am–7pm

Rate: £43.00/hr Umbrella | £32.15/hr PAYE

Security Clearance: BPSS + full clearance required

IR35: Inside of IR35

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Design Engineer to join their dynamic Wing Engineering team. The organisation is undergoing a major digital transformation, integrating production systems and supply chain processes into a seamless, future-focused environment. This role supports both current programme design requirements and evolving legacy systems, making it an exciting opportunity for engineers who thrive in innovative, complex environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Creating electrical design solutions and 2D drawings in accordance with established processes and design rules.
  • Analysing and validating design requirements, including managing deviations with key stakeholders.
  • Interpreting functional inputs and validating electrical installation configurations.
  • Supporting Customer Services teams through technical requests.
  • Assisting Production teams with Design Query Notes and Work Query Notes.

About You

Our client is looking for someone with a strong background in electrical systems installation and design who can operate confidently in technical, collaborative environments.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Proven proficiency in Electrical Installation Design.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics.
  • Evidence of successful teamwork and project delivery against time, cost, and quality targets.
  • A creative, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to innovate.

Desirable Skills & Toolsets:

  • CATIA V5, PASS, VPM, ACP (or experience with other PLM/CAD systems).
  • Electrical modelling / systems installation modelling experience.
  • ESI Approval Signatory / previous approval delegation.
