Our Client, an Engineering company, is seeking an Asset Management Lead for a permanent position in Hinkley Point C (HPC) - Onsite location. This role is placed within Construction, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals or highly regulated industry. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to one of the UK’s most significant nuclear infrastructure projects.
Role Overview
The Asset Management Lead is responsible for coordinating, executing, and overseeing all care and maintenance activities for Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs) within scope—from receipt and storage through installation and up to handover. The role ensures full compliance with RCCM F6000, HPC contractual requirements, and internal procedures, maintaining all components in a fit-for-purpose condition throughout their lifecycle on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the project Care & Maintenance Plan and Schedule in accordance with HPCNNB requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise C&M activities across all phases: delivery, storage, installation, and post-installation.
- Ensure correct application of cleanliness classifications, zoning, and storage conditions in line with RCCM Section F6000 and site cleanliness procedures.
- Manage inspection, preservation, and maintenance frequencies, ensuring timely execution and accurate documentation.
- Oversee zone transfer control, segregation of cleanliness classes, and compliance with Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) requirements.
- Collaborate with QA/QC, Stores, and Construction teams to ensure components remain protected and preserved until handover.
- Verify environmental controls such as humidity, temperature, sealing, and protective covers, initiating corrective actions where required.
- Maintain auditable C&M records—including plans, schedules, logs, and inspection reports—for LTQR inclusion and upload to NNB’s Enterprise Asset Management system.
- Liaise with NNB, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure visibility and compliance of preservation and cleanliness activities.
Working Pattern
Full-time, on-site at HPC, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, Permanent staff position.
Experience Required
- Previous experience in care & maintenance, quality, or asset preservation within a regulated environment (nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience managing preservation and cleanliness controls aligned with RCCM or equivalent high integrity standards.
- Strong background in coordinating cross-functional activities involving QA/QC, construction, and stores.
- Experience preparing and managing C&M Plans, Schedules, and associated inspection records.
- Familiarity with LTQR compilation and nuclear lifetime records expectations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Engineering or Technical qualification in Mechanical, Welding, Quality, or a related discipline (HNC or above preferred).
- CCNSG Safety Passport (mandatory).
- Experience using document management or quality systems such as Teamcenter, Proarc, SharePoint, or similar.
- Knowledge of HPC Quality Arrangements, RCCM F6000 cleanliness requirements, and NNB Care & Maintenance obligations.
